In honour of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Herman Melville in 1819, the Bodleian’s Bibliographical Press has invited letterpress printers from around the world to contribute original artworks based on the ‘whale statements’ selected by Melville to introduce his famous 1851 novel, Moby Dick.
